Keeping Scattered Kids on Track: A Review of ADHD & Practical Strategies for School Professionals

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common mental health conditions diagnosed in children. It is a developmental disorder of self-regulation and executive functioning resulting in symptoms of inattention and/or hyperactive-impulsive behavior.
In this 2.5 hour course we will:
- Learn about the signs and symptoms of ADHD
- Learn how ADHD impacts academic achievement, self-worth, and relationships
- Explore the deficits students with ADHD may have in their executive functioning and self-regulation abilities
- Build strategies (not solutions) for supporting children and adolescents with ADHD
